INFOGLIDE SOFTWARE CORPORATION INTRODUCES SIMILARITY SEARCH TECHNOLOGY FOR ENTERPRISE SOLUTIONS
Move Results in Dramatic Shift in Company's Business
AUSTIN, Texas, March 11, 2002 - Infoglide, the leading provider of fraud detection and alias identification software solutions, today announced its move into the enterprise solutions market with the release of its Similarity Search EngineTM 6.0, Fraud InvestigatorTM Enterprise, and Fraud Investigator Enterprise DB2. Similarity Search Engine (SSE) is a database search tool that locates similarities and relationships in data in addition to exact matches. Based on the SSE technology, the Fraud Investigator Enterprise products are used to identify incidences of fraudulent activity, false aliases, and security threats in databases.
These enterprise level products reflect a dramatic shift in the company's business direction. Previous versions of SSE and Fraud Investigator were sold as point solutions with an Application Service Provider (ASP) pricing model. With the introduction of the enterprise versions, the company's products move from a single user desktop into the flow of the enterprise. The new products are sold on a Return on Investment (ROI) pricing model with licenses selling in the million-dollar range. Customers find that the ROI for this new class of products ranges from $10 to $25 for every dollar invested.
Fraud Investigator Enterprise DB2 is designed to work in enterprise environments with a very large number of transactions. With the DB2 version, the search capability extends to any size database. Fraud Investigator Enterprise is designed for small to medium size enterprise applications. In addition to the increased scalability, the enterprise products feature improvements in stability and performance over the company's point solutions. These improvements include enhanced reporting and graphic user interface as well as the ability to search data faster.
The enterprise versions of the technology also have the ability to process data in real-time, which allows an organization to efficiently screen and process transactions. Examples of uses for the products include processing insurance claims, screening airline ticket purchases, and processing credit applications.
Because they address the needs of enterprises, these new products allow Infoglide to extend its reach into additional customers and new markets. The company has broad acceptance in the property and casualty (P&C) insurance and online auctions markets, and government and transportation are strong expansion markets. The company has seen a rise in inquiries and sales opportunities due to the recent emphasis on identifying possible security threats and risks.
“The development work we've completed over the last year has given us the ability to serve major customers in key markets with an end-to-end enterprise solution that will have a huge impact on our business," said Michael Shultz, president and chief executive officer. “None of our competitors offer an enterprise solution which gives us significant advantage in working with customers who need solutions to support the enterprise environment. This change in direction puts the company in a whole different league."
The enterprise product family allows users to select the version that most closely matches their existing systems and needs. SSE 6.0 has multiple options and runs on Wintel, AIX, or Solaris.
“We've taken Infoglide's original patented technology and created a whole new offering deployed to solve enterprise problems," said Charles Moon, vice president of development. “Our ability to extend our technology to create offerings to meet the needs of the market lays the groundwork for future products."
Infoglide's channel partner, CSC, is selling Fraud Investigator Enterprise into the property and casualty market and is currently conducting pricing performance pilots with major insurance industry customers. CSC has a customer base that represents 50% of the world's largest insurers.
