MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 25, 2011 /PRNewswire/ – FICO (NYSE: FICO), the leading provider of analytics and decision management technology, today announced it is enhancing its risk management and fraud detection applications by incorporating Infoglide’s market-leading Identity Resolution Engine® (IRE) software. Infoglide IRE will serve as the identity resolution engine and link analysis solution across FICO’s suite of fraud detection and risk management products, which include the industry-leading FICO™ Falcon® Fraud Manager for credit grantors and FICO™ Insurance Fraud Manager.

Now, fraud investigators can identify customers with greater precision, and use link analysis to find connections between transactions, people, third parties and discrete fraud events that can reveal previously hidden fraud schemes. The combined capabilities expand the view of the fraud investigator and enable the identification of more complicated fraud patterns, criminal fraud rings, and networks of collusive participants that might otherwise appear disconnected from a fraud problem.

The Infoglide Identity Resolution Engine combines a robust identity resolution capability that resolves common variations in spellings, nicknames, and other personal identification elements, with a sophisticated linking engine that weighs the relevance of multiple identity elements in order to determine the likelihood that individuals and events are related. A key differentiator for the Infoglide technology is the ability to analyze data in situ, without normalizing it and without requiring that it be moved into any proprietary database. This capability leaves the full power of the source data intact, strengthening the information value of the resulting analysis. As relationships exposed through the analysis can be quite complicated, Infoglide IRE also provides a clear, browser-based user-interface that allows the fraud investigator to quickly visualize and understand the nature of the relationships between individual actors and fraud events.

“Useful case management tools being added by fraud management technology vendors go beyond process and productivity enhancements to enable better investigation,” said Rodney Nelsestuen, senior research director at TowerGroup, a Corporate Executive Board company. “Leading vendors are also able to incorporate data from any source — including a variety and growing number of social networks — in real time, without having to go through lengthy and costly ETL processes. This ability to investigate at the front end of a fraud event can make an impact on reducing losses and establishing insight for fraud prevention.”

FICO will first focus on integrating these powerful capabilities with FICO Falcon Fraud Manager and FICO Insurance Fraud Manager, in order to enable the many users of these solutions to drive more effective fraud investigations and prevent the most complex fraud schemes, often involving multiple individuals and organizations.

“Fraud is becoming increasingly complex, with collusive networks and sophisticated fraud rings harming both credit grantors and their customers,” said Doug Clare, vice president for fraud management solutions at FICO. “Infoglide IRE software provides a unique combination of capabilities — identity resolution, complicated linking algorithms, and data visualization — that complement FICO’s high-performance detection analytics.”

“FICO solutions make an enormous difference in minimizing the cost of fraud across the banking and insurance industries,” said Douglas Wood, senior vice president for sales at Infoglide. “Combining Infoglide innovations with FICO fraud detection analytics brings powerful, new capabilities to users who are already preventing millions of dollars in losses every day.”

Built on a robust service-oriented architecture, FICO™ Falcon® Fraud Manager uses advanced analytic techniques that synthesize intelligence drawn from billions of payment card transactions and hundreds of person-years of experience to weigh key attributes and identify fraud with the utmost reliability — all in a fraction of a second. FICO Falcon Fraud Manager is the industry leader in card fraud detection, protecting more than 2 billion cards worldwide. FICO’s Insurance Fraud Manager utilizes complex unsupervised outlier modeling techniques to detect both known and unknown fraud, waste and abuse patterns in healthcare claims data, saving millions of dollars for healthcare payers.

Austin, TX, May 17, 2011 – MinorMonitor went live today as a unique, free, web-based tool for monitoring children on Facebook. Built just for parents to enable a quick, dashboard-view into their child(ren)’s Facebook activities and friends, MinorMonitor was created by Infoglide, a government-grade technology company that has been delivering anti-fraud software solutions to federal and state governments and commercial organizations for over 15 years. The free, web-based tool is open for sign up at www.minormonitor.com.

Online Peace of Mind Desperately Needed:

According to a recently released survey by Consumer Reports, there are over 20 million active Facebook minors and an estimated 7.5 million children using Facebook under the age of 13. Consumer Reports estimates that an alarming 1 million children were harassed, threatened, or subjected to other forms of cyberbullying on the site in the past year.

With increasing – and disheartening – stories of cyber bullying, online stalking and predators, hate crimes, and generally concerning conversations and relationships building through Facebook, parents feel helpless and worried about what their child is doing, saying, and “friending” online. There are some solutions, at a cost, and may or may not be effective for parents today, nothing is the silver bullet parents are asking for.

Austin-based Infoglide has been perfecting its own security and fraud analytics for over 15 years, for customers such as the US Department of Homeland Security and several other Fortune 500 banks, insurance companies, and retailers. A company comprised of concerned parents and grandparents, it set out to apply its security intelligence to a web-based tool parents could use to monitor their child’s Facebook activities and friends.

“We are so very proud to introduce MinorMonitor to all of the parents out there worried about what their children are up to on Facebook,” said Mike Shultz, CEO of Infoglide and head of the MinorMonitor effort. “We built MinorMonitor to take advantage of our deep security analytic technology, and extend this as a free service to benefit parents who want to make sure their child’s Facebook activities are safe.”

Validation of Solution:

Even before it was in private beta, MinorMonitor was spotted by experts in the field. It was discussed during an episode on The CBS Early Show as an innovative solution for monitoring children on Facebook. Additionally, early testers are sharing great feedback as well, including Marilyn Berry, a Seattle, Washington mom of a 14-year-old girl, very active on Facebook. Marilyn says: “As an early tester, I’ve been using MinorMonitor for a couple weeks, now. I am very satisfied with this wonderful new service. MinorMonitor has provided me with alerts, and with this invaluable service, I’m able to keep track of my daughter.”

How MinorMonitor Works:

MinorMonitor, as a free web-based tool, has sophisticated algorithms that leverage an extensive keyword phrase library (of over 3,000 keywords) and natural language analytics that identify potentially dangerous activities such as bullying, drug use, solicitation, sexual references, and profanity. These algorithms and keyword phrases are continuously updated, with new words added to follow trends and slang. MinorMonitor also watches out for suspicious friends by identifying friends significantly older than the child, friends with a very small number of mutual friends, and friends who post an abnormally high amount of negative content.

MinorMonitor analyzes every type of activity including wall posts, notes, photos, videos, and messages. This continuous monitoring is available to parents at any time through an intuitive, easy-to-navigate dashboard. Proactive alerts may also be set up in order to receive immediate emails for extremely concerning events.

MinorMonitor’s proprietary, analytic technology foundation comes from Infoglide who brought its core capabilities downstream to benefit parents. More than just identifying and flagging concerning keyword phrases, MinorMonitor is also built with unique self-learning and natural language analytics that make it smarter over time, providing a more accurate analysis and fewer false alarms.

How to Get Started:

MinorMonitor does strongly advise its parent users to work with their child, communicate openly to secure their log in and password, and let the child know MinorMonitor will be at work to put parents at ease, resulting in a child actually having more freedom online. Getting started is as easy as clicking on the Get Started link at www.minormonitor.com, and then creating a name and password and entering your child’s password credentials into Facebook Connect. Within moments of granting your child’s Facebook login credentials, parents will see an analysis of their child’s activities and friends.

About MinorMonitor:

Launched in mid 2011, MinorMonitor is a free web-based tool that gives parents a quick, easy view into their child(ren)’s Facebook activities and friends, through knowledge-based analytics. Via an intuitive dashboard view, parents can access either a snapshot, or full detail and specifics, of potentially dangerous activities such as bullying, hate crimes, drug use, and sexual references.

MinorMonitor was developed by Austin-based Infoglide, a 15+ year technology company that developed deep security and fraud analytics that monitor and manage online reputations as well as screen and detect suspicious activities and behaviors for government (such as the TSA), law enforcement, banking, and other big business customers. Infoglide executives developed MinorMonitor to leverage the company’s analytics and extend them as a service to benefit those parents who are growing increasingly concerned over ensuring their child(ren)’s Facebook activities are safe.

Company Will Sell its Identity Resolution Engine Through OEM and Referral Partners

Austin, Texas – March 22, 2011 – Infoglide Software Corporation (www.infoglide.com) announced today that it has launched a partnership program that is designed to provide partner organizations with the expertise to market, support, implement and/or extend Infoglide solutions for customers worldwide. Infoglide is looking to add OEM, referral, and system integrator partners with customers in the banking, insurance, government and/or healthcare markets.

Infoglide’s Identity Resolution Engine™ (IRE) was designed to be easily integrated into existing business systems or technologies and is therefore well suited for OEM relationships with other technology companies. Complementary technologies include incident reporting, case management, identity management, and link visualization software as well as fraud and risk detection and compliance solutions.

“We provide technology that has been independently tested to be at the top of the identity resolution market,” said Douglas Wood, senior vice president. “But most of our competitors are large organizations, many of whom got their identity resolution technologies through acquisitions. As David battling Goliath, we can benefit greatly from partnering with other companies to expand our reach in the market.”

The company also announced the promotion of Julie Garcia to the role of director of channel sales. With this move, Infoglide now has a dedicated resource who is focused entirely on finding, cultivating and managing partner relationships.

Westminster Group Plc (‘Westminster’ or ‘the Group’), the AIM listed supplier of system solutions and products to the security, defence, fire protection and safety markets worldwide, is pleased to announce that it has secured distribution rights in the UK and the Middle East for the Infoglide’s (www.infoglide.com) identity resolution products.

Infoglide’s identity resolution technology searches, matches and links entities across multiple, disparate data sources using over 50 algorithms, many of which are attribute specific. It resolves identities from multiple records and uncovers links between entities despite variations and errors in data as well as bad actors’ intentional efforts to manipulate data to avoid detection. The software draws attention to misrepresented identities, suspicious relationships and criminal connections.

Markets for these products include banking, transport & travel, government, law enforcement and insurance, where it is used primarily for detection of fraud, risk, and criminal activities.

Most notably the software has secured praise for its success in identifying & minimising passenger screening risks faced by the US Transport Security Administration which is responsible for the safety of all US domestic flights. Other applications include financial fraud detection, anti-money laundering, insurance fraud detection, insider trading detection, retail fraud detection, lottery fraud detection and compliance.

Westminster International has an extensive distribution network through its international agents. It expects the product to be popular with national security agencies across the Middle East in particular.

Commenting on the agreement, Shires Crichton, Sales Director at Westminster International said:

”These products have a very wide range of applications from seemingly harmless white collar crime right across the spectrum to very serious terrorist threats. The ability to detect those who are intent on pursuing criminal activities at an early stage saves significant cost and, potentially, innocent people’s lives.

”Infoglide products draw information from a very wide range of sources to cross reference personal details making them very effective at acting as an early warning system for high profile organisations. This has changed the landscape in the battle against criminals. There has always been a host of data however using it effectively has been the challenge. Infoglide has made this achievable.”

Austin, Texas – September 21, 2010 – Infoglide Software Corporation (www.infoglide.com) announced today the general availability of its new Anti-Fraud Solution Suite. The suite was developed using Infoglide’s Identity Resolution EngineTM technology to address the needs of organizations that must identify fraud across disparate data sources while complying with data privacy laws. This issue is particularly acute for global companies that must adhere to a variety of privacy laws in the different countries in which they operate.

For many organizations, the data to find fraudulent entities already exists, but it is distributed across various systems and data sources throughout the enterprise. Infoglide’s Anti-Fraud Solution Suite searches, matches, and links people, locations, and other entities across these silos of data without the need to move the data or reformat it. To help organizations comply with privacy laws, the Anti-Fraud Solution Suite can be configured to return only the calculated probability of a match, instead of the actual data associated with that match, or can return only partial data depending on the authorization level and country of the end user.

“Many companies don’t realize they already have the pieces to solve the puzzle,” said Mike Betron, director of marketing. “They are doing business with people that, if they had a full view of that person, they would never even let them in the door. But their fraud operations are segmented, and their data is dispersed throughout the organization. One hand doesn’t know what the other is doing. One line of business is about to sign a customer that is committing fraud to another line of business. Major financial institutions are losing millions of dollars because they don’t have a clear picture of their customers, vendors, partners, and employees.”

The Anti-Fraud Solution Suite features the following components and functionality:

Identity Resolution – Applies patented similarity search technology to search, match, and link similar individuals, locations, and other entities within disparate data

Relationship Link Analysis – Detects relationships by uncovering hidden linkages between people, places, and things and enables investigators to visualize and drill down for deep analysis

Federated Query – Enables real-time searches on disparate data where it resides and in its native format without requiring expensive ETL integration, normalization, or maintenance of a data warehouse

Alerts and Automated Decisioning – Automates business processes as transactions occur with a user-defined, workflow engine

The Anti-Fraud Solution Suite uses patented technology to compare data and find similar identity matches and non-obvious relationships that indicate fraud is occurring. It can also uncover aliases and fraud rings despite data entry errors and intentional efforts to deceive. Insider fraud and collusion are a huge problem for most financial services companies. By giving them the ability to search into human resources data, while protecting the privacy of that data, the Anti-Fraud Solution Suite is uniquely positioned to address the problem of insider fraud.

The Infoglide Anti-Fraud Solution Suite has been tailored to address the different types of fraud faced by the banking, insurance, and government markets including PEP, 413 (a) and sanctions screening, insider fraud and collusion, benefits fraud, multi-channel and multi-national fraud, property and casualty fraud, and workers compensation fraud.

Austin, Texas – January 29, 2010 – Infoglide Software announced today the availability of Identity Resolution as a Service (IRaaS(TM) ), a software-as-a-service (SaaS) adaptation of its flagship product, Identity Resolution Engine™ (IRE). IRaaS was designed for customers who want to learn who’ss who and who knows whom within their data but prefer using a hosted solution.

“We’ve received requests from prospective customers who want to resolve identities and find hidden relationships in their data, but prefer the simplicity of using an online service rather than an enterprise solution,” said Ram Anantha, director of product management with Infoglide Software. “In response, we created IRaaS to fill the current gap with a web-based service powered by the same technology as our enterprise products. Rather than licensing and installing software on their own servers, users can opt to access the software via the Internet on a pay-as-you-go basis.”

IRaaS is a secure, private, and configurable hosted entity resolution service that enables matching, de-duplication, and identification of hidden relationships. Like IRE, it can go beyond traditional data matching and de-duplication technology by incorporating patented technology that includes over 50 attribute-specific algorithms, rather than using a one size fits all approach.

IRaaS also benefits from IRE scalability. In one test case, for example, the company loaded 1.7 million records in ten minutes and de-duplicated them in less than three hours.

Web-based services delivery makes it easy to get started and easy to manage costs based on the volume of work. Delivered as a horizontal service for multiple industries such as healthcare, marketing services, law enforcement, airport security, insurance, banking, and catalog services, IRaaS applications include customer record de-duplication, watch list matching, medical record management (EMPI, EHR, EMR), fusion center information sharing, fraud detection, householding, and compliance.

“We’re experiencing an especially strong push for SaaS applications from smaller customers and prospects,” said Bob Barker, chief marketing officer for Infoglide. “McKinsey and Sandhill recently surveyed small companies and found that 74 percent of them prefer SaaS solutions. We’re confident that IRaaS creates an entirely new offering that will help us reach many new customers. The survey conducted by McKinsey ‘s Company and SandHill Enterprise Software revealed that small companies (those with fewer than 100 employees) spend 26 percent of their software budget on subscription-based software compared to the 11-17 percent spent by larger companies. Not surprisingly, IDC is projecting a 40 percent year over year increase in SaaS products.”

Of course, just having a SaaS offering is not sufficient, said Ram Anantha. What will continue to set us apart is the power of the underlying technology that IRaaS was created from. It’s the same technology selected by the Department of Homeland Security for post 9/11 airline passenger screening, and all the innovation that goes into IRE will be available in IRaaS.

IRaaS becomes the third major offering from Infoglide Software. Bladeworks™ is a comprehensive identity resolution product used to create custom applications primarily for government agencies and very large Fortune 50 companies. IRE is an enterprise software product used to build commercial solutions behind an organization’s firewall.

Infoglide and Pervasive Software Announce Intent to Integrate Identity Resolution Engine 2.2 and Pervasive DataRush

Austin, Texas – July 15, 2009 – Infoglide Software and Pervasive Software (NASDAQ: PVSW) today announced agreement on a joint go-to-market strategy based on combining Infoglide’s recent release of Identity Resolution Engine™ (IRE) 2.2 with Pervasive DataRush.

“IRE 2.2 will be a big leap forward, and combining it with Pervasive DataRush layers our leading identity resolution software atop the fastest multi-processing software platform in the industry,” said Robert Barker, Infoglide’s chief marketing officer. “We’re excited about the new possibilities that are opening up for customers by closing the gap between explosively expanding corporate data stores and the untapped power of rapidly proliferating multi-core processors.”

Under the agreement, the two Austin-based companies will work together with initial customers who run their businesses by leveraging and mining multiple massive data sources. The combined technologies will make it possible to resolve inconsistencies and dramatically improve daily corporate decision-making based on that data.

“We deliberately chose a company with industry-leading identity resolution technology as our partner to address the most challenging problems in this space,” said Mike Bryars, Pervasive DataRush general manager. “Infoglide Software has demonstrated its ability to succeed in the toughest large-scale environments like airline passenger screening.”

The two companies plan to offer an integrated identity resolution solution for several application areas, including fraud detection, money laundering, national security and retail. Infoglide Software is a technology and services supplier to TSA’s Secure Flight program and has had recent successes in detecting workers’ compensation fraud and lottery retailer fraud for state and provincial governments. The Pervasive Software DataRush (PDR) engine is a revolutionary high-performance, embeddable software platform designed for the next generation of data-intensive processing and analytics.

“Gartner’s 2009 survey of CIO priorities places use of information as a top five business priority. IT departments are under increasing pressure from the business to bring users solutions that help improve decision-making and deliver competitive advantage in an environment compounded by massive data volumes and an increasing number of data sources,” stated Gareth Herschel, research director at Gartner. “Consequently, the market is headed toward integrating analytics into the business processes and the need for new classes of analytics and the technologies and tools capable of making full use of existing data are coming into sharp focus as organizations evaluate the different analytics options available to enable better decisions and deliver key business value.”
